Our client portfolio includes government entities and global financial institutions such as HSBC and Emirates NBD.

As we are expanding our customer base with more entities joining our platform, we are now growing our commercial team. To this end, we are seeking a BD/Sales manager to propel our growth in the MENA region.

The role will be based in Dubai, UAE and on a full-time basis.

Role description

The goal for this position is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and forging strong relationships with new clients in MEAA region (Middle East, Africa & Asia). You will work closely with the internal to norbloc teams, to which you will provide insight and feedback about products and features on the platform along with external marketing strategy implementation. Along with the head of MEAA region and the commercial team you will develop business development strategies, maintain existing business relationships with our current partners, conduct market analysis, and, finally, drive our approach as we continue to expand our product offerings and grow our market share.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Planning and overseeing new business development initiatives;
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new business opportunities;
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events related to blockchain and FinTech;
  • Conduct research in the MEAA markets and customer needs;
  • Foster new relationships with data providing companies, Governmental institutions in the region and onboard them as customers;
  • Maintain an expert level of understanding of the platform and products so as to provide knowledgeable support to top clients and potential partners both externally and internally;
  • Maintain an expert level of understanding of the business growth and potential in the markets.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s degree is mandatory;
  • Masters or equivalent in Management is good to have;
  • Highly interested in digital/blockchain technology/ Fintech and/or finance;
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of software procurement processes;
  • Ability to manage complex conversations including commercial negotiations;
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty;
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager or sales executive or a similar role;
  • Proven sales track record;
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory; Knowledge and proficiency in Arabic is good to have
  • Time management and planning skills.
