We are now growing our Implementation team to support the expansion of our client portfolio and the development of our data sharing platforms across Europe and the MENA region. To this direction, we are seeking a Senior Deployment Controller / Build Manager, reporting to the Head of DevOps.

Role description
As Deployment Controller / Build Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the build, deployment and release processes across norbloc’s platforms and client implementations. You will work closely with the DevOps, QA and Implementation teams to ensure reliable, secure and timely releases that meet business objectives and client expectations. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and environments.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate software build, deployment and release activities across staging, test and production environments.
- Define, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring compliance with operational and security standards.
- Collaborate with Development, QA and Implementation teams to plan and execute deployment cycles.
- Document build and deployment processes, configuration and release notes for internal and external use.
- Create and maintain runbooks for efficient error-free deployment, minimizing downtime.
- Monitor system performance post-deployment and provide proactive improvements.
- Establish and maintain release schedules aligned with project milestones.
- Drive continuous improvement in build and release management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps with at least 2+ years of deployment management , build engineering or release management.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Solid experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent troubleshooting, coordination and communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience in large scale deployment roll-outs and release management is a plus.
